We have been approved! We have successfully secured office space in the Second Life Nonprofit Commons for Globalhood. Our team met this evening in the new space to discuss building and designing. It’s bigger than we expected – now we have to figure out how to fill all this room! Luckily, the NP Commons provides a free “starter kit” with items that you can customize for your particular nonprofit. Juan will touch base with Sarah from Globalhood tomorrow and hopefully get some media so we can begin putting up billboards and posters, etc. Some ideas we tossed around included: donation box, flat screen for showing video, a desk, a seating area with couches, and firstly – a sign for our door! We visited another NP in the Commons for some inspiration. We scheduled another meeting tomorrow to begin building/scripting.
